11th Jan 2012

When a loved one passes away, you face the pain of losing someone forever, because you know you will miss him. You will never have the chance to spend time with him; to hold his hand, listen to his voice, talk to him and feel his presence. And then you regret that you had not spend enough time with him when his around.
It is a fixed rule that each and every human being born into this world must face such a suffering of losing him to death( unless he is either born without a conscious or he's maybe a tree log)

Whenever I miss you. I mourn for you in silence. I thank you and fill my heart with your love and gratitude. I can't feel you externally but you still exist eternally within mine. The cassette of memories is still playing and playing, is the play over yet?

Thank you for the love you had given and the sacrifice you have made made. Perhaps your death is a sacrifice that makes me grow.

I know that the deep down each and everyone of us issss   - the entire universe. You have left, but you've turned into something even more subtle and beautiful. I sense you in the wind that passed by, I see your shadows in a flowing river and I feel you beneath the earth and above the sky. You are blended with the universe aren't you?

Substitute sadness with appreciation; pain with gratitude. You'll feel better. Maybe. I think.

Memories

It was a very weird night. I dreamt running around my primary school being chased by people. I guess it's because I initially planned to visit my school this morning but decided to drop the idea because my buddies can't go.

Anyways, waking up early in the morning suddenly brought back lots of special memories in primary school.
Memories that are tragic yet beautiful for me.

I wonder if you still remember the boy who wait for you by the gate every morning, oh wait, you didn't know that...

Life after 18 is like a rocket

Today, I dropped by one of my mentors' place to have a small chat and also to ask him for a small favor.
I felt that we had a pretty close and meaningful chat, a heart-to-heart talk for the very few times.
He told me
"Life is short, don't waste them.
Optimize your resource and time,
use them to the fullest so you won't regret as much as I do. "

Humans, yes a person is actually capable of doing many things. But just take a moment to think about this, how much buffering time do we waste every day between each chores we do. How can we use the extra buffering time between our daily activities to learn something new, practice something or do something meaningful?

He then told me that an uncle once told him that,

Life after eighteen is like a rocket,
Your life's goal is to fly and reach a destination,
Perhaps a star or planet far far away.
But bear in mind that every 5 years,
You've got to examine, steer and re-navigate your direction,
So that you won't stray away from the right path
or just purely there's a need to change your direction
because our goals, direction and meaning in life changes as we mature.

Interesting analogy, isn't it?

The Truth about Happiness

The secret of happiness,

you see is not found in seeking more,

but in developing the capacity to enjoy less. ~Socrates

The 4 statement about happiness
1. Many People are lacking Happiness.
2. Why is it so?
3. Happiness is possible.
4. There is a way of life to happiness.

What is unhappiness?
Unhappiness comes from a internal resistant towards change.
When something bad happens, people get stress out trying to change a reality.
But, he is unable to change something the way he wants it, thus he is unhappy.
Example,
A girl wants to break up with boyfriend,
however the boyfriend still loved her, and he doesn't want to,
This is a bad "change" that happen to him, and he doesn't like it, nor could he do anything about it.
He becomes unhappy.
He blames God and ask WHY!!
He becomes even unhappy.
He suffers.

Thus the first concept of happiness is about letting go.
but letting go is something intangible, it's something easy to say, but hard to apply.
To apply it, one must change his perception from negativity to positivity,
to practice contentment, to practice acceptance.
It is something that can be taught, but must be attained by oneself.
Let me give you an example about letting go:

In olden India, there's a way for people to capture monkeys.
They would cut a coconut into some sort of shape with a hole in the middle,
such that a monkey would be able to place its hand into the coconut to grab the flesh,
however it is unable to take its hand out if it grabs the flesh.
Thus many monkeys were trapped by the people,
because once they have a touch of the sumptuous flesh,
They can never let go.
Letting go is about releasing the grasp of desire in this context.
In other context, it can be letting go of hatred, letting go of past memories...

There are 2 types of happiness in life.
a. Happiness from sensual pleasure.
When you eat something delicious you're happy.
When you see the person you like, you become happy.
to enhance sensual pleasure- be mindful when you do anything- enjoy them to the fullest.
If you're eating the world's best pizza, but on the same time,
you're thinking about your teacher's assignment,
Do you think that's going to be a taste of haven? lol
To be happy is to live in the present moment, to be mindful.

Hereby I attach two psychological way to enhance happiness from sensual pleasure:

First-time effect:
exp: when you're eating something, think in such a way " gosh this is the first time I've ever taste something so delicious!" then carry on, you will appreciate it better.

Last-time effect:
exp: " Oh no, could this be the last time ever to taste this food?" you will appreciate it more as well.

b. Happiness from wholesome thoughts, speech and actions.
-Positivity
-Happiness that comes from helping others. from nice things you said that made people happy.
-from doing something good.
things like that...

Before I end my write out, let me share with you a formula-

 Google www Yahoo

In your mind, google What Went Well and shout out Yahoo!!! life is awesome.
but never ever google what went WRONG!!!

I wish you happiness in life :)

Rain dedication

Rain is a beautiful phenomena...

When you hear the splattering of rain,
listen to the core of your heart,
you are being loved.
Just as a million little plants are awaiting nourishments

from the ascending rain,
I am eagerly waiting,
the arrival of pure love.

New life, new look.

Life gained a whole new look ever since I moved over to Selangor. This year, I got enrolled into Canadian International Matriculation Programme in Sunway University College to further my pre-university studies. It's a fun course I supposed, not that difficult so far. In fact, people were telling me it's a lot easier than the A-levels.

Anyway, these are things I find here- a diversity of new friends, a diversity of teacher, air-conditioned classrooms, college kids.... I met new friends who came from all over the world- all met at this little point with the same goal- taking another step up the ladder of success.

Living here isn't that bad, since I've already got to know some close friends here before I came, and also because my uncle lives here as well. Sometimes I go back to my uncle's house on weekends just to get my laundry done. Oh ya, something funny happened to me here- many people told me I look identical to a pair of twins from their primary school.

Anyway time seems to increase here, perhaps due to less travelling-pros. However, money don't seem to increase- cons.  Thinking of taking up a part time job soon.
